In our current unit in math, which we will be wrapping up this week, students have been working hard to build their foundation for multiplication. They've built upon their work last year and connected area and converting different unit of measurement with more challenging multiplication.
Today, we played multiplication wrestling to practice 2-digit by 2-digit multiplication. After handing out 4 cards to each player, students try to create the largest product possible. After a few rounds, many students could easily see who would win around just by dealing out their 4 cards. It was a fun way to start our Monday morning!
